Helicopter & Fixed Wing Routes
Here is where members of Heli-Hawk UK can browse the routes sections and find flights that they want to do. Notice I said the member finds a flight that he or she wants to do. There is no pressure. Decide where you want to fly from and if you want it to be a fixed wing or a helicopter and away you go, as easy as that ! Are you still here ?
Anyway, all members must fly 10 hrs in the R-22 Robinson when they first join Heli-Hawk UK and progress up through the ranks and then qualifying to operate other helicopters as they do so. Now, you can still fly any route as long as you have the fuel, the choice is yours.
The routes vary from passenger transportation from airport to airport, cargo flights, off shore platforms (oil rigs & vessels), air ambulance, search & rescue, and finally the fixed wing.
I hear you ask, "this is a helicopter VA, so why have you got fixed wings" ? Good question. Without the fixed wings our helicopter pilots wouldn't be able to transport from one hub to the next one in a comfortable and relaxed way. Also, the amount of cargo that needs to be moved from one main hub (Cardiff) is to much for the helicopters, so we use the fixed wings to transport the goods to our hubs across the United Kingdom and then we use the helicopters to distribute it throughout the country.
So what are you waiting for ? pick your departing airport, and then choose a flight and away you go. If your a new member I would recommend you sticking with the passenger transport from airport to airport until you have gained your 10hrs and next rank, get in on some helicopter training with a member of staff, there very helpful and will surely get you on your way.

Happy flying, and blue skies.
